Peschiera is one of the most characteristic towns of Lake Garda, on the southern bank of the lake, at the point where the Garda waters flow in the emissary Mincio. The historic center of Peschiera del Garda is surrounded by canals and bordered by walls which changed the natural flow of the river. This particular configuration makes Peschiera different from all the other towns of the lake.
Peschiera is 25 km from Verona and it is easily reachable by any transportation: from the A4 Milan-Venice exit, for those coming by car; from Peschiera railway station (line Milan-Venice) for those coming by train; Verona Villafranca airport for those arriving by plane. From the port of Peschiera you can reach by boat or hydrofoil all the towns around Lake Garda. A long cycle track, about 40 kilometers, connects Peschiera del Garda to Mantua, along the river in an environment in which extends the Mincio Park.
